Cards Analytics Manager

The Credit Cards team is responsible for driving the personal credit cards business to achieve revenue, net contribution and market share objectives for Credit Cards.

This can be achieved through the management of the P&L for each card's product line and includes accountability for enhanced features and benefits that will drive customer acquisition and retention and product profitability.

The Credit Card Analytics team’s role and function is to support the profitable growth of CBA credit cards division by providing strategic and tactical data analysis and to enable world class decision management.

Specifically in this role you will be responsible for:

• Ongoing management and maintenance of various Credit Cards Datamarts and infrastructure used in Card Analytics and associated Metadata.

• Data SME for Cards Data.

• Support Product and Channel Managers strategy with the provision of data and reporting.

• Analytic Support for Cards, RBS and Bank Strategy.

• Provide Support for Cards Projects in the form of data analysis, business case support, benefits reporting and project Reporting.

• Assist Group Marketing with Data Analysis and Customer Interaction Modelling

• Data Analysis, Portfolio Segmentation and Identification of portfolio trends.


To be considered for this opportunity you will possess:

•  Extensive knowledge of management of high volume data, preferably within the banking environment

•  Expert level SQL (Teradata highly desirable), data transformation (ETL) and process automation skills

•  Advanced analytical skills & strong general technical aptitude

•  Advanced expertise in Data Warehouse disciplines including data modelling, metadata management, data quality mgmt, data presentation

•  Ability to work effectively in collaboration with the wider Cards Analytics teams and share knowledge/information(understanding of Credit Cards business dynamics and portfolio drivers highly desirable)

•  Strong interpersonal skills and customer service ethic

•  High level of  time management and work prioritisation skills
