Business Development Manager

Our Distribution Team has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager.  The Business Development Manager - Investments has responsibility for Sales & Business Development activities within the specified.  Responsibility of the role is the provision of quality on-going service to those financial intermediaries who may be regarded as supporters or potential supporters of Colonial First State range of investment, superannuation and retirement products and for this role includes the existing product and Masterfund range of the Colonial / CBA business.

You will add value to the business through:

  • Provide ongoing service and support to Dealer Groups and their intermediaries on your identified panel regarding CFS Investment products; 
  • Conduct Investment campaigns and drive sales as directed on a monthly basis; 
  • Increase sales and revenue based on panel  and campaign activity, meeting set KPI’s; 
  • Responsibility to report monthly on business activity, campaigns and market related information; 
  • Ongoing maintenance of Adviser Panel to ensure relevance to business initiatives; 
  • Responsibility for identifying opportunities for additional products on dealer group recommended product lists; 
  • Represent CFS at client seminars, Adviser PD days and Dealer Group conferences as required; 
  • Maintain CRM information and file notes; 
  • Any other projects as directed by Head of Investment Sales or Regional Manager

To be successful in this role you’ll possess the following;

  • Tertiary qualifications (preferably in Commerce/Business/Economics/Accounting) will be highly regarded; 
  • Minimum RG146 required; 
  • A full understanding of the dynamics of financial services markets, including current conditions, future trends and international trends; 
  • A full understanding of the technical workings of unit trusts and the investment management function, both from an industry perspective and as they relate to Colonial First State; 
  • Very strong inter-personal communication skills with individuals at all levels of seniority - both written and verbal; 
  • Very strong presentation skills with audiences of varying numbers; 
  • Ability to operate without supervision; 
  • A high degree of personal and corporate responsibility; 
  • Excellent attention to detail; 
  • Demonstrable organisational and time management skills; 
  • Ability to operate in a team and adapt to the culture in the team environment; 
  • Valid Drivers Licence is required for this role.
