Product Manager, Eligible Rollover Funds (ERF) & Group Insurance

CommInsure is the division of the Commonwealth Bank Group that offers a range of life insurance, superannuation, retirement income, investment and general insurance products. CommInsure is the largest life insurer and the 5th largest home insurer in Australia.
We currently have an exciting contract position available for an experienced Product Manager, Eligible Rollover Funds (ERF) & Group Insurance. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager - Wholesale Growth Products - CommInsure Wholesale Product Management, this role is responsible for the provision of product management support for the Eligible Rollover Fund (ERF) market segment.
More specifically, the Product Manager is required to work with the Senior Product Manager on managing product related issues, including: development of product related material; development and implementation of product initiatives; compliance and retention projects with a key focus on the strategic growth of the SuperTrace portfolio.
You will add value to the business through the following accountabilities:
- End to end management and champion of the ERF Product portfolio
- Primary point of contact for external trustee product;
- Management and enhancement of the relationship with external trustee and internal stakeholders;
- Ensure productivity and internal quality measures are in place and actively managed.
- Research legislative and compliance changes and resolve compliance issues within agreed timeframes.
- Assessment of the impact of legislative and compliance changes to the business and relevant products.
- Assist in the development and implementation of product initiatives and service improvements
- Undertake research and benchmark analysis of superannuation services and the positioning of products.
- Manage and implement the production of disclosure documents to meet legislative and communication timelines whilst also ensuring that regulatory requirements are met and compliance processes are implemented as required
- Driving outcomes for identified key strategic projects; including migration, compliance, annual statements, and retention activities as well as participating in Group Insurance tenders and related documentation.
- Provide technical superannuation advice and assistance in resolving Administration and Call Centre queries.
- The role also, where applicable, may be responsible for management of the Product Support Manager.
Essential to this role will be the following competencies:
- Strong product management experience gained from within the Superannuation Industry
- Some experience in the life insurance industry is also desirable
- Tertiary qualification in a Business related field or relevant business experience.
- A strong technical understanding of Superannuation and Life Insurance and the legislative framework that applies to the industry
- RG146 compliance status
- Strong follow-through and closure
- Highly motivated, energetic and enthusiastic
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and co-ordination skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to relate & establish credibility and build rapport at all levels
- Ability to analyse and understand issues and develop appropriate recommendations
- Good Strategic, conceptual and analytical ability including financial numeracy
- Intermediate knowledge of the MS office suite of programs i.e. Word/Excel/P.Point
You will have the ability to proactively and effectively build and manage relationships with key stakeholders. This will be supported by your strong commercial acumen and ability to think creatively and laterally in order to deliver sustainable results.
You will also have excellent interpersonal skills including strong presentation and organisational skills.
